About the Game

Night has fallen, and the witch has finally fallen asleep.
Unfortunately, the mosquitoes have arrived too.

In For The Witch, you control a small guardian defending a sleeping witch from swarms of mosquitoes. She is the center of the battlefield and the heart of every run. The guardian can fall and rise again, but if the witch wakes up, the night is over.

This is not a survivors-like focused on a single character. The guardian and the witch form two parallel progression tracks, forcing you to divide resources between clearing enemies, protecting the center, strengthening the guardian, and improving the witch's defenses and abilities.

Every wave creates a new decision: invest in immediate survival, prepare the witch for later pressure, or build toward a stronger item combination.

Stat upgrades provide a reliable foundation, while mechanic-changing items reshape how your run works. Build around projectiles, melee attacks, range, healing, critical hits, shop economy, experience collection, revival timing, defense, and other interacting systems.

Different guardians, witches, and item combinations can push the same night in very different directions.

Some items can awaken after meeting specific conditions. Awakening is more than a numerical upgrade: it can change an item's behavior, introduce a new effect, or turn an ordinary part of your build into its defining mechanic.

Decide which items deserve investment, when to change direction, and how to adapt your build before the next wave arrives.

The Playtest and demo offer a limited selection of content. The full version is planned to feature more than 260 stat-focused items, over 100 mechanic-changing items, 10+ soldier characters, and 10+ witch characters, creating many more pairings, build routes, and nights to survive.

For The Witch uses a soft, low-detail 2D art style, cute characters, everyday fantasy items, and a cozy nighttime atmosphere built around one simple idea: protect the witch while she sleeps.

The enemies will multiply, the battlefield will become chaotic, and your build will keep changing. But your goal remains simple:

Do not let the witch wake up.
