About the Game

THE HOLE IN THE WALL IS HUNGRY.

BRING IT WHAT IT WANTS.

DO NOT MAKE IT WAIT.

Salt lines divide the space, each time you cross one your remaining steps decrease.

Every room you enter is a commitment. Every wrong turn makes the journey back harder. Search too far and you may find exactly what you need, with no way to return it.

Search carefully. Remember your route. Always leave yourself enough steps to get back.

Familiar rooms connect in impossible ways. Corridors lead somewhere different than they should. Symbols scratched across the walls offer guidance, warnings, or something pretending to be either. The further you search, the less the building resembles a real place.

Things wander through the area, some watch from a distance, some follow without you seeing.

They do not need to kill you.

They only seek to waste your steps.

When your final step is gone, the Caretaker comes to collect you.

You wake beside the Hole, the space has been cleaned, objects have been returned and thresholds restored.

The Hole is still waiting for an offering.
