Farther West is a Roguelite hack-and-slash game set in the world of Journey to the West. Players take on the role of a fated scripture pilgrim, embarking on a perilous westward journey through a realm where gods and buddhas have fallen into chaos and demons run rampant. Cut through relentless swarms of divine and demonic foes, all in search of the ever-elusive Lingshan — the sacred mountain that remains forever out of reach.
Every run is a fresh trial. Earn rewards from each stage to steadily unlock new maps such as the Flaming Mountains, the Spider Silk Cave, and the Lesser Thunderclap Temple, as well as a roster of distinct heroes like Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and the White Dragon Horse, each equipped with their own signature abilities.
A mighty demon king awaits at the end of every stage. Defeating them is never a matter of brute force alone — you must study their attack patterns, exploit the environment and mystical treasures, and discover the one true strategy that can bring them down.
Unleash devastating immortal arts, divine powers, and legendary weapons to mow down waves of monstrous enemies. Attacks deliver spectacular knockbacks, shattering impacts, and elemental explosions. Defeated demons may be dismembered, torn apart, or reduced to dust and ashes.
Some dialogue from characters and demon kings may contain arrogant, provocative, or contemptuous language.
