About the Game

FarHearth is a survival city builder with roguelike elements that challenges you to guide a fledgling city state to survive and prosper in a world of hardship. In this era of vacant thrones and fractured kingdoms, it falls upon you to lead your people through this veil of swords... or join the nameless graves that litter this shattered land.

Expand your settlement from a humble hamlet to a great city.

  • Keep your population fed, sheltered, warm, healthy, and sane.
  • Construct houses, farms, smithies and assign staff to provide key goods and services.
  • Pass laws and research technologies to unlock new decisions, buildings, and resources.
  • Build a city to withstand the ravages of famine, war, plague, and the winter frosts.

Will you lead with an open heart or rule by iron?

  • Lead your people down the road of prosperity or faith, militarism or pacifism.
  • Each citizen is unique and has their own ambitions beyond survival, which may help or hinder your own goals.
  • Deal with civic issues to ensure the prosperity and unity of your people.
  • Wisely manage dissent or be buried by revolt.

Explore a world of danger and opportunity.

  • Send expeditions out into the larger world to discover new wonders, peoples, and resources.
  • Establish outposts to protect trade routes, extract exotic resources, or expand your sphere of influence.
  • Engage in diplomacy with the various factions of the new world.

Ultimately, it falls on you to lead your people to salvation or ruin.

Each day a struggle.
Each victory a triumph.

Will you build a city of a thousand hearths to last the ages?
