About the Game

Thank you for accepting the overnight operator position at Westvale Heights Residential. The following orientation materials should be reviewed before your first shift.

Your Responsibilities

Residents submit complaints via email throughout the night. You will read each complaint, locate the matching incident type in the Operations Manual, and file the assigned response. Completed reports are forwarded automatically at the end of your shift.

Operator Conduct

  • Remain at your station for the full duration of the shift.

  • Classify every incident using the manual. Do not apply personal judgment.

  • Do not contact residents directly.

  • Do not discuss procedural classifications with residents.

Operators who follow procedure are rarely reassigned.

Escalation Pending is a bureaucratic containment horror set entirely within a late-1990s apartment management system. You work a series of overnight shifts at a simulated 1990s operator workstation: reading mail, working the Manual, and filing reports. What you find, and what happens to you, depends on how closely you follow it.

Features

  • Retro late-90s desktop interface

  • Deduction-based point & click incident classification gameplay

  • Analog horror rooted in procedure

  • Optional interactions
