About the Game

Encroached is a strategy game where you defend your villages by a building a defence. For each village you lose, the enemy borders encroach and their numbers increase for the next battle. To build your defence, you are given a fixed number of decisions before each battle.

The game's core strategic element lies in slowing down the enemy enough to survive the last battle.

  • You are only given a fixed number of choices before each battle. There is no gold based economy.

  • 8 different unit types to rally - swordsmen, archers, guerillas, etc.

  • 8 structure types to bolster the defence - towers, fences, traps, etc.

  • 16 different modifiers that you can play on any turn to tilt the scales in your favour.

You already know what to do... ;)
