About the Game

EGREGORE is a first-person psychological horror game focused on exploration, environmental storytelling, and subtle puzzle-solving within a looping, haunted environment.

Players navigate a repeating interior space that gradually changes across each loop. Doors shift, rooms reconfigure, objects move, and sound cues distort over time. Progression is driven by observation, memory, and interaction rather than combat.

The game emphasizes atmosphere over action, using lighting, sound design, and restrained visual effects to build tension. Environmental events—such as poltergeist activity, altered layouts, and fleeting apparitions—react to player movement and attention.

Puzzles are integrated directly into the environment and often require backtracking, pattern recognition, and noticing small changes between loops. There is no traditional inventory system; interaction is contextual and minimal by design.

Narrative is delivered indirectly through environmental details, audio fragments, and visual anomalies. The story is intentionally fragmented and open to interpretation, encouraging players to piece together meaning through repeated play and discussion.
