ALL THE MONEY IN THE WORLD.
Welcome to your first company. The first step in your road to complete domination.
Economicon is an automation-tycoon game. Build factories, design your production lines, and develop the logistics network necessary to deliver your products to the cities that actually want them. Trains, trucks, conveyors and signals; over 50 products to sell, 20+ machines, 40+ buildings, and more to come.
Every product sold is money well earned. Be careful not to lose your focus and overspend on inefficient lines, antagonistic cities or state-of-the-art locomotives. Weather random events and disasters that will put every department of your company to the test. Cash flow is king. Run dry and it's all over — the machines wind down, the trains stop, and your debtors come knocking.
OPTIMIZE, OPTIMIZE, OPTIMIZE
Start your factory with simple components, and grow it into a hub for the latest electronics on the market. From Walkie-Talkies to Smartphones, from Toasters to Androids. The road is long, and only fit for the most ruthless entrepreneurs. Every machine needs to earn its place in the factory, so placement is key. Although a bit of spaghetti never hurt anyone.
Don't like what you have built? Bring it all down and try again! Iteration is the recipe for success. Upgrade your conveyors, time your assemblers and try not to build yourself into a corner.
GO OFF THE RAILS
Build the complex networks you want. Combine air, sea, rail and road vehicles to create the most efficient and profitable routes. Build signals, time your trucks. Choose the most appropriate vehicle for each occasion!
Economicon features complex transportation systems, traffic management, signalling and upgradeable vehicles. Build one-way rails, two-way loops, RoRo stations... Scratch the transportation itch in your factory brain.
EVERY DECISION COUNTS
Where you place your Stores affects the customers you can target. Not every city requires the same types of products, so be smart about where to build your factories! A route that is one tile longer than it needs to be is a wasteful route.
Build relationships with the cities and try not to get banned (although a quick bribe can make even the toughest enemies into cuddly friends).
AND SIMPLY HAVE FUN
That's what it's all about! I have been developing this game alone for the past 2.5 years, and dreaming about it for longer than that. I can only hope that you will love what Economicon has to offer, and I'm incredibly excited and grateful for the road ahead.
