About the Game

Explore the post-apocalyptic landscape of Westervoort, Loo and Arnhem through the eyes of a survivor.

Navigate, uncover, and puzzle your way to the conclusion.

Echoes of Asjud is a Short Story / Busy Life Game, a visual novel that tells the tale of an ordinary boy in a potential near future, where artificial intelligence has taken control.

This is a game you can complete in just a few hours, allowing you to relax as you progress through the story, meet characters, and perhaps form your own vision of what you expect from the (near?) future.

Having grown up in the 80's with games on a 286 (and on) computer, it has always been hard to let go of the love for the artform that is a game.

When hitting 40, after doing a couple of game jams, it was time to make a small story game from scratch to finish, right here on Steam.

I've never told stories, but to my son. So the game is an experiment, trying to learn how to publish a game and how to tell a story. And after working in IT for over 20 years, it's a great means to share thoughts on a possible future with or without A.I.

So THANK YOU for trying this game and / or checking out this Steam page. It means a lot to me!

Even though this is an experimental game, I will publish updates and keep the game updated as well as fix bugs wherever needed.

The main GOAL is to start off with a thrift store shop owner game after this.

More news / updates on that probably during the start of 2025 (already!). So keep posted! :)
