About the Game

Descend Into a world broken by Gods

Once, the world lived in perfect harmony, ruled by Gods bound together by balance, creation, and trust.

Now, those bonds are shattered. Ancient Bloodlines fall. Monsters appear where there was once peace, along with a young kid armed with a mysterious tool known only as the Echo.

An Echo of a Metroidvania

  • Forge your own path through a world that reacts to divine imbalance.

  • Meet strange allies, and decide how much power you’re willing to sacrifice to change fate itself.

  • Each Bloodline is bound to an Echo, a soul-bound crest that grants godly power under specific conditions.

  • Spirit Gods have unlimited power. Non-Spirit Gods must pay the price to use their power.

The Echo

  • The Echo is a family Bloodline crest in order for gods to trigger their powers.

  • Each Bloodline has an Echo that isn’t attached to the body but a physical jewel/crest that is bound to a person, sometimes in a necklace, an amulet, in a sword, bracelet, anything.

  • If the entire Bloodline of gods dies, the echos are freed and the power goes to the Bloodline who removed the lineage.

  • There are Five Bloodlines. Time, Power, Chaos, Knowledge, and Power.

  • Each Echo has different criteria that needs to be met in order for the family to use each God’s power.

  • Human Gods are unable to use powers excessively because there is a downside to using a power each time. Unless you possess each Echo, only the Spirit gods can use the powers as much as they want with no downsides.

Game Features

  • A classic late-90s Metroidvania / Action Platformer adventure with JRPG elements and a silly soul.

  • Layered with party mechanics, dual ability skills, collectibles, and character upgrades.

  • Challenging boss battles with an emphasis on skill and precise movement.

  • Story is told through animation, atmosphere, and environmental detail, allowing players to uncover meaning at their own pace.

  • Pixel art inspired by the PlayStation era.

  • Beautiful locations, parallax backgrounds, and ambient soundscapes give depth and bring the world to life.

  • Wander overgrown forests, sacred shrines, and caverns with each region altered by the misalignment of the Gods who once protected it.

  • Upgrades are divine inheritances. Each new ability alters traversal, combat, and your understanding of the Gods who shaped the world.

  • Discover ancient items that must be appraised before revealing their true effects. Equip chains to customize stats, abilities, and playstyle.
