Echo Diver

A mind-bending 3D platformer where echoes of memories, dreams, and nightmares collide.


Story

In the near future, a neurological disease spreads across cities, fusing the memories and nightmares of multiple people into chaotic shared minds. Victims become overwhelmed by echoes, thoughts that aren't theirs, reliving fragmented pasts, other people’s fears, and surreal dreamscapes. They lose their identity, descend into madness, and eventually perish.

You play as Jace Renn, an elite Echo Diver working for the Mnemo Division, a medical-tech unit that sends operatives into these collapsing minds through a virtual interface. His mission: climb through corrupted dreamscapes, destroy nightmare entities, and stabilize the host.

But the deeper Jace dives, he notices that all is not what it seems...

Art Direction

Echo Diver blends surreal dream environments with stylized sci-fi, enhanced by vibrant lighting and imaginative world transitions. From childlike blocky nightmares to decaying castles and neon-soaked memory vaults, each area feels alive, shifting, and unpredictable.

Features

●     Combat Meets Climb
A mix of fluid parkour, platforming, and simple but satisfying combat. Punch, kick, and wield weapons pulled straight from the dream world.


●     Choose Your Path
Start your journey by picking one of three nightmare domains: a medieval fortress of armoured guardians, a futuristic city of killer AI and laser traps, or a myth-infused desert filled with forgotten ruins and puzzles. Each route is distinct and evolves mid-way with a dramatic shift in level design and atmosphere.


●     Dream Worlds With Purpose
Explore levels crafted from fragments of other people's dreams, fears, and memories, all tangled together. Use platforming, puzzle-solving, and smart exploration to progress through the mind-hive.


●     Unlock New Powers
After each route, gain powerful traversal upgrades or dream-bending tools that let you revisit areas with new abilities:

Echo Cube: deploys a solid block you can climb on, perfect for reaching high platforms

Mind Beam: a laser device that reflects off mirrors to solve puzzles or activate dream nodes

Nightmare Shield: deflects hostile projectiles and protects you from volatile dream threats


●    Final Tower
Conquer all the paths and ascend the mysterious core of the mind, a tower where all consciousness bleeds together. Face the truth. Rewrite the system.
