Are you ready to set off on an adventure?
In <<Eastern Odyssey : Homeward>>, you play as a vengeful Prince. Assemble a mercenary company loyal only to you, advance toward the throne that is rightfully yours, and ultimately defeat the evil forces to save your kingdom.
Game Background
Eighteen years ago, your father, the Emperor, was slain by the Sorcerer Clan that crawled out from the depths. To seize control of the Zhaochu Empire, they installed your younger brother as the puppet Emperor. You, then a mere three-year-old, were smuggled to the empire's most remote borderland, Nan Zhou, under the protection of your late father's most loyal retainers.
Now, the empire is in ruins, with the people living in misery and the land scarred by war. The Sorcerer Clan cares nothing for the lives of the deceased humans.
Today, you will no longer be a pawn of the Sorcerer Clan. Raise the banner of righteousness, O Prince! Lead your army east on a crusade, and strike straight at the heart of the enemy!
Loot & Equipment
In <<Eastern Odyssey : Homeward>>, equipment of different rarities comes with varying numbers of affixes and gem sockets. Special set items grant powerful bonuses when multiple are equipped on a single character. Collect more gear to make your mercenaries even stronger!
Varied Classes
At the launch of the Early Access version, the game will feature 4 base classes and 8 advanced subclasses, with each class having two distinct specializations that offer unique playstyles. Assemble a quality four-member squad and build the team that best suits your preferences!
Permadeath & Character Development
In this game, character death is permanent, and the unit will be lost forever—unless you send them back to the base at the end of each chapter's overworld map. We believe this adds a layer of strategic depth and forces players to make thoughtful decisions.
Every character in Return to Dongzhou has considerable depth for randomized development, and the eight equipment slots will allow players to fully unleash their creativity in building their heroes.
