About the Game

"Should one dwell in darkness, or drown in the light?"

·Leader, please look at this...

There’s a natural disaster that can mess up people’s thoughts and feelings. It starts from the endless deep sea, and turns all life quiet.

For the living things hit by this disaster: some die; some change into strange, twisted monsters; others get special powers... After the big disaster, different groups built their own organizations on the land that survived. The wish to stay alive... the greed to be a leader... the ambition to rule others... This is a messy, unordered society, but the top ruling organization sits high up and does nothing about it.

·Faced with all this, Leader, what else can you do...

1.A fun small idea: Combo Skills in Turn-based Games

In the fighting system of Drowned in the Light: Gloom, we made combo skills for every character. When a character meets certain conditions just right, they can get an extra turn and use the combo skill. This feature fixes the boring pace of old turn-based games, and it also tests how well players can adapt quickly.

From the design team: No one likes having to use the same team all the time in turn-based games. So we added something different to each character’s combo skill—maybe every character can be a useful "solution card"!

2.No More Repeating Resource Farming in the Character Development System

In the development system of Drowned in the Light: Gloom, when players get a new character, they can put accessories on it and use it right away. There’s no need to level up the character or upgrade its skills. This lets players spend more time on building teams and understanding the game, saving a lot of time.

From the design team: We’re sure many of you have been annoyed by games that make you farm the same upgrade materials over and over. We took that part out. Even though you’ll spend less time playing, we believe the game’s quality can make up for it.

3.Skill Tree System (Not Tied to Characters)

The skill tree works for all characters—you don’t need to set it up separately for each one.

4.Random Map Exploration Gameplay

When you get accessories through map exploration, you don’t have to fight hard, complicated battles. Exploring the map with a plan might bring you a more fun gaming experience.

5.Fun Main Story & Detailed Clue Pieces

A rich main story, well-made clue pieces... When players reach the end of the story, every character will stand out clearly in front of them. They use their lives to praise strong will, and use tears and blood to make an unforgettable story of fighting against fate!
