About the Game

Drown World combines grid-based mining with a pixel-perfect elemental simulation. Dig for resources, upgrade equipment at your airship, and carve your way through a volatile underground world in search of long-lost dwarven relics as waves of rain flood the tunnels you leave behind.

  • Dig: Delve too greedily and too deep! Collect resources amongst natural hazards — oil, lava, fire, flammable gas, acid and more. Skilled players will use the environment against itself.

  • When it rains, it pours: Rain doesn't just fall — it finds every tunnel you've carved. Manage rising floodwater, navigate shifting weather conditions, and never dig yourself into a corner you can't escape.

  • Elemental Simulation: Every pixel behaves. Water flows, lava spreads, gas ignites, acid eats through rock. Experiment, discover interactions, and learn to weaponise the underground against itself.

  • Two Ways to Descend: Story Mode eases you in stage by stage, saving progress and introducing new elements gradually. Descent Mode strings those stages together into one relentless run.

  • Your Airship, Your Arsenal: Return to the surface to upgrade your equipment, unlock new tools, and prepare for whatever the underground throws at you next.

  • The World is Never the Same: Fully procedurally generated levels mean every run brings new layouts, new hazards, and new ways to die.
