About the Game

Drifters Don’t Brake: Midnight is a top-down arcade racing game where your car never stops accelerating and you can’t brake. Each stage has its own combination of game modes, changing how it looks, how it plays, or what you need to do to clear it.

Learn the road, adapt to the terrain, survive the chaos, and keep chasing a faster time.

Gameplay Mechanics

  • Auto-Acceleration

    • The car accelerates on its own from start to finish. Since you cannot control the throttle, the challenge is all about steering, drifting, and adapting to the road ahead.

  • No Brakes

    • There is no brake mechanic in the game. You’ll have to think fast, stay in control, and recover from mistakes without slowing down.

  • Game Modes

    • Each stage includes at least one game mode. Some stages may ask you to simply reach the finish line, while others can change the rules, alter the lighting, affect your speed, limit your crashes, or give you a different objective.

  • Varied Terrains

    • Different terrains can change how much your car drifts, affect your speed, or alter your controls. You’ll need to adapt your driving from stage to stage.

Features

  • Car Customization

    • Change your car model, color, window color, decals, and decal colors to create a more personalized design.

  • Leaderboards

    • Compete for faster times and show everyone how quickly you can clear each stage.

  • Ghost Racing

    • Race against your own previous runs, chase leaderboard ghosts, and compare your racing lines with other players.

  • Dev Times

    • Each stage includes a built-in target run to challenge your skills. Replay stages, improve your racing lines, and push your time low enough to beat it.

  • Configurable Experience

    • Adjust options for ghosts, minimap display, visual helpers, and other settings to make the game feel better for your playstyle.
