About the Game

In a galaxy splattered with neon and powered by synth, you're a pilot in the cosmic void. Inspired by classics like Asteroids, Drift Vector combines old-school arcade action with pulsating synthwave beats. Evade, attack, and survive in the neon abyss!

Any object in motion stays in motion in the harsh vacuum of space: master the simple newtonian physics and unique control system with small, precise adjustments to create beautiful swirling patterns, line up the perfect shot, collect powerups & dodge rockets & other hazards.

Select a colour & choose your starfighter before jumping into battle! Will you choose the balletic SNUBNOSE fighter to dance circles around your enemies, the precise & deadly INTERCEPTOR, the fully-loaded GUNSHIP or the prototype shielded BOMBER?

Current features:

  • Retina-burning neon vector graphics
  • Synthwave soundtrack & sound-effects
  • Tricky by satisfying-to-master controls (now with added stabilisers!)
  • Compete for high scores by defeating swirling waves of simple AI enemies in a randomly-generated, "infinite" ARCADE MODE
  • Dogfight your friends in VERSUS MODE
  • Waves of simple enemies to shoot for points
  • Asteroids & walls to dodge!
  • Powerups to collect for POINTS, to increase your ship's THRUST, the NUMBER or SPEED of your rockets, or to gain a protective SHIELD
  • Both modes support UP TO 4 PLAYERS locally in single-screen multiplayer

Thanks for checking out Drift Vector! As a solo indie developer, I really appreciate your support and would love to hear your feedback.

The game is currently at a very early stage of development so a huge amount is still likely to change before the "official launch". Please wishlist the game if you're curious to see how the game develops over time or consider joining the Biggles.Games Discord server to help me sound out new ideas & make this game the best it can be!
