Story

On her journey home for the Spring Festival, Yuanyuan falls asleep and finds herself back in her childhood hometown—a small town in southern China in 2003. At the age of seven, she was sent back to live and study there, becoming one of the many "left-behind children" whose parents had left to work far from home.

The cicadas, shady lanes, drifting cooking smoke, and endless fields of her memories come back to life. Here, you'll encounter water buffaloes on the way home from school, intimidating village dogs, snacks from the local corner store, long summer afternoons, and a group of friends who will shape Yuanyuan's childhood.

Through exploration, conversations, and nostalgic mini-games, accompany Yuanyuan through an ordinary yet unforgettable childhood. Watch as she overcomes her fears and loneliness, gradually finding a sense of belonging in her hometown.
