About the Game

Dreadloop is a turn-based RPG set in a brutal, dark-fantasy world that's stuck in a cycle of fear and despair.
Life is bound by memories - etched in text, captured in paint and sculpted by hand.
A gift turned curse, that must be broken.

Echoes of the Past

Travel through the ruins of a fallen kingdom, shattered by an endless war. As bandits overrun the last remaining cities, ancient horrors haunt forgotten keeps and the dead rise from the ground, you are one of the rare few who can put an end to this cycle.

Face the legendary warriors whom time refuses to forget, relive the monumental battles that forged history, and
try to restore the bonds between the realms of the living and the dead.
Or die trying.

By Any Means Necessary

  • No line you won't cross. No code you won't break. Recruit bandits, control the undead or pay goblin mercenaries - build your team from whoever you cross paths with, and combine their strengths to forge unique, unstoppable combinations. Every person you meet is a potential ally - or your next target.

  • Explore a world full of long-forgotten truths, ancient monsters and unlikely alliances. Shape the fate of the common folk as you piece together the dark history that brought this realm to ruin.

  • Death wears many faces as each enemy has their own unique abilities, animations and traits. Each battle presents a different challenge, so you had better come prepared.

Rock, Paper, Scissors... Axe

Weaknesses of one opponent are strengths of another. Experiment with different sets of skills and team compositions. Determine the weak spots, plan ahead and adapt to the ever-changing battlefield.
Saved presets let you instantly re-deploy a proven lineup for your next encounter.

Core Features

  • Detailed, hand-crafted world that rewards curiosity and exploration with many shortcuts, secrets and gear to find.

  • Top Down Exploration, Turn-Based Combat: seamless blend of two distinct gameplay perspectives into a cohesive, single-player experience.

  • Unique skill-trees: each character has a different set of skills, traits and talents. Cast spells, crush skulls with a hammer or practice necromancy to control death. Learn new talents to strike critical hits, modify existing abilities or increase the amount of arrows fired, turning a bow into a machine-gun.

  • Status-based combat: bleed enemies, poison them and set them on fire. Stack status effects of different abilities to create deadly, unexpected combinations.

  • Equipment doesn't just dictate how strong you are, but it can also provide you with extra abilities that you wouldn't have learned otherwise, opening the room for unconventional builds.
A backstabbing bard? Or maybe a suicidal goblin that blows himself up to tear enemies apart?
    The choice is yours.

  • Store your team compositions to easily access them later, and experiment with different builds and tactics.

Classic Single-Player Experience

Dreadloop is a passion project of mine, and a love-letter to classic RPGs. No microtransactions, no paywalls, and no forced online connection - ever

That's a promise.
