About the Game

About This Game

Doppelganger is a 2D top-down game where you command a gunship in space. Your only view of the battlefield is a tactical radar screen. You must track targets as blips, manage your ship's power, and survive combat against enemy fleets.

The game is played in an "Arcade Mode" where you earn points for defeating enemies. These points can be used to buy permanent upgrades for your ship between rounds.

Features:

  • Ship System Management: You control your ship's power by moving energy between Weapons, Engines, Engineering, and Sensors. You can also target specific subsystems on large enemy ships, like their weapons or engines, to disable them.

  • Dynamic Events: Random events occur during gameplay. These include solar flares that create ghost signals on your radar, enemy fleets that attempt surprise flanking maneuvers, and missions where you must escort a friendly ship to build a new space station.
