About the Game

Run! Jump! Fight! Help the alien Doe and the psychic cat Dot escape the sentient space station they they are being held captive on! 

Doe has been held prisoner on this space station for some time, never quite knowing why she was taken from her planet. All too suddenly, all the caged cells spring open at once, and every alien makes a break for it! A bizarrely dapper feline with psychic powers appears before Doe, and offers to help her escape. Together, and with the help of other escapees, they need to make their way through the giant space station in hopes of finding a path to freedom. 

Doe and Dot is a high speed 2D platformer focused on the joy of movement. It's split into two styles, the linear action style, and the nonlinear exploration style. Action has you running through a level from point A to point B with a ranking system based on how well you did. Exploration puts you in a non linear interconnected zones where you gather upgrades and meet creatures. Action style levels will be accessible from the exploration style zones.

  • Gain momentum by running down slopes or using Doe's ferocious spike to grapple things

  • Slash and claw at your enemies using Dot's mysterious psychic abilities

  • Pick up and throw objects with Dot, which can be then grappled by Doe

  • Race through engaging levels and get the best score

  • Explore zones to find upgrades

  • Meet strange and silly characters who are also stuck on the station
