Dirge For the Zone/D4Z is inspired by the soviet novel Roadside Picnic and Stalker game franchise. The basic idea is what if the whole world was the visitation zone of the alien. Humans have to survive and scavenge in the zone, rebuild and protect their home from phenomenon created by extraterrestrial artifacts, mutants and hostile human enemies. The game is a top-down shooter with role-playing and base-building elements. Build your base, protect your people and send them to explore the Zone.
