Digitalink

A workplace thriller inspired by Severance (Apple TV) where your job is finding matching values in a pile of matrices to brain map a creature's mind while the creature keeps attacking employees' minds to scare them and stop the process, making it harder to understand what is real and what is not.

About the Game

About the Game Lore

- We play as Employee 18-32 in a room full of employees at Digitalink.

- Digitalink is a company where captures Kaiju (monsters) and does suspicious experiments on them under the name of "public safety".

- Newly captured Kaiju is contained in the box behind our computer. Inside, the monster's brain gets exposed certain imagery/icons. Every employee gets "what was the shown imagery/icons" on the left screen as query and the monster's brainwave readings on the right screen (during boot up, you can see the process, BWR stands for Brain Wave Reading systems).

- If you or any other employee in the room makes a mistake, that gives Kaiju to attack our minds, causing to see/hear things that are not real & not there.

About Gameplay

- As an employee, you'll be fired after 3 mistakes.

- You have to highlight a tile that suits what query asks from you and press A to confirm your answer.

Example matrix

A (white) - 3 (green) - 7 (red)

1 (purple) - a (yellow) - 9 (white)

6 (red) - 0 (blue) - 2 (black)

Example query: down and right

Right answer: 2 (black)

Example query: red and not right

Right answer: 6 (red)

Example query: lowercase and left and up

Right answer: doesn't exist in this example matrix (gotta seek in other matrices)

Example query: up or right

Right answers: A, 3, 7, 9, 2

Example query: right and not down

Right answers: 7 (red), 9 (white)

What I Offer in Digitalink:

  • Understand the query, find a matching tile in limited time. Mistake? Ups. Run out of time? Ups. Be precise and fast.

  • This is a teamwork. You are not in danger ONLY when you screw up. If ANY of employees make a mistake, you all will be exposed to mental images.

  • Every session can offer a new game, due to the creature's brain map generated procedurally.

You're not fighting the monster or running from it —you're studying it. But do you even know what's going on really?
