Game Description

During the reign of Emperor Gaozong of the Tang Dynasty, an unexpected turn of events thrusts the young official Di Renjie into the role of a judicial officer. Renowned for his almost supernatural skill in solving cases during his tenure, he earns the moniker "Di Renjie: The Legendary Investigator."

In this mystery-text adventure game set against the backdrop of China's Tang Dynasty, you will step into the shoes of the judicial officer Di Renjie. Your task is to crack a series of baffling cases across the prefectures of Bianzhou and Bingzhou, drive the story forward, unravel the enigmas, and uncover the truth hidden behind each case.

Character Introductions

Di Renjie:
Destined to serve as the Legal Affairs Administrator (Facao Canjun) of the Bingzhou Governor's Office in the future, Di Renjie finds himself imprisoned at the start of the story, framed by villains. Strong-willed and even stubborn—can he find a way to free himself from jail?

Qiao Tai:
He crosses paths with Di Renjie during a case and later becomes his subordinate. A coroner with snow-white hair and beard, Qiao Tai appears cold and mysterious. What secrets lie beneath his stern exterior?

Ma Rong:
A future subordinate of Di Renjie, Ma Rong is a female vigilante roaming Bingzhou before she meets him. Lively, warm-hearted, and imbued with a chivalrous spirit, she is always ready to help.

Zheng Chongzhi:
A future colleague of Di Renjie, also serving as a Legal Affairs Administrator. Gentle, sensitive, and seemingly frail, Zheng Chongzhi nevertheless possesses a inner strength that surpasses most.

Yan Liben:
A renowned painter of the Tang Dynasty, but in this story, Yan Liben appears not for his artistry. As the Imperial Inspector of Henan Circuit, he is a key patron who recognizes Di Renjie's talent—it is through his recommendation that Di Renjie embarks on his path of solving mysteries.
