About the Game

Be Detective Boto, a legendary figure investigating the disappearance of Amazonian folklore beings in a mysterious 1943 Belém. Explore rivers, markets, old streets, and historic places as you follow clues and uncover secrets hidden beneath the city’s charm.

For generations, the Amazon has whispered about a pink dolphin who shapeshifts to the form of a charming man dressed in white, capable of enchanting the hearts of many women. But beneath the hat there is a detective shaped by a past he keeps close, one that makes him impossible to ignore when a mystery begins to ripple.

When legends begin to vanish without a trace, the city’s balance starts to collapse. The nights grow longer and whispers move through the city like something ancient is waking beneath the surface. What begins as a missing persons case soon reveals a deeper conspiracy.

Inspired by Amazonian legends, Brazilian folklore, and myths from around the world, Detective Boto creates a setting where different stories cross paths under the shadow of the Amazon. While the game’s heart is deeply rooted in Amazonian culture, its world suggests that legends are not isolated: they travel, transform, and survive through memory, fear, desire, and belief.

The game brings its mystery to life through the city’s architecture, food, customs, riverside atmosphere, markets, and hidden corners. A place shaped by rich beauty, rumor, and tradition, where everyday life blends naturally with the supernatural, and every detail helps reveal the soul of the city.
