About the Game

Dig deep. Survive the depths. Come back rich.

Deep Enough is a cozy first-person mining game where every swing of the pickaxe reveals a little more of the world. Beneath an ordinary patch of grass lies an entire underworld of veins, caverns, and legendary ores — it's up to you to dig deep enough to find them.

Core features

- Fully deformable terrain — every pickaxe strike reshapes the ground for real, powered by a signed-distance-field (SDF) system that carves the world voxel by voxel.

- 7 ores to discover — coal, tin, copper, iron, silver, gold, and the mythical violet Altarite with properties no one fully understands.

- An interactive smelter — refine your raw ore into high-value ingots. Each ore takes a different smelt time and coal cost.

- An upgradable workbench — invest your earnings with Joss for stronger pickaxes, dynamite, and to unlock new depth tiers.

- Consumables with real buffs — pizza, soda, cola: every snack grants a temporary boost (mining speed, agility, jump height). Eat them on the spot or carry them out to throw.

- Dynamic day / night cycle — procedural atmospheric scattering, birds chirping on the surface, oppressive silence deep below.

- Built-in lo-fi radio — turn on the workbench radio and skip tracks while you chip away at the rock.

The loop

1. Surface — collect surface ores, eat a slice of pizza, kick off your first smelt batch.

2. Underground — buy a better pickaxe, dive 50m, 100m, 500m. Every tier reveals rarer veins.

3. Deep biomes — explore lower zones where the air thins and Altarite faintly glows.

4. Workshop — return to Joss with a full bag, sell, refine, gear up, dive deeper.

Why Deep Enough?

- A gameplay loop that's instantly satisfying — dig, collect, sell, upgrade, repeat.

- A stylized look between cartoon and realism — easy on the eyes, great for streaming and screenshots.

- No combat — this is a game about progression and discovery, not stress. Perfect for unwinding after work.

- No ads, no microtransactions. You buy it, you play it.

Accessibility & specs

- Fully rebindable controls.

- Built-in noclip via the debug menu for explorers and content creators.

- Automatic local saves.
