THIS IS THE STORY OF JAQUITO. (TRUMPET FLARE)
Jaquito didn't do much, he worked at a cantina, loved Maria, and well that's really it. He served drinks and cleaned night after night, dreaming of becoming an explorer in California. His boss was never going to give him the life he wanted. While watching some Vaqueros pack up and head out he closed up the cantina and stepped out the back. That is when his life or well what was his life changed forever. FOR EL DIABLO HAS A BARGAIN YOU WILL NEVER WALK AWAY FROM. Wanting more he has tasked or forced you into helping him sludge the world into a dark realm that he can reap souls whenever he pleases. (CUE THE MUSIC!)
THE FRONTIER:
Sun-bleached Mexico, Texas, and New Mexico, with portals to the underworld. The kind of country where the dust settles in your boots and the glare puts a beam in your eye. Find the hidden secrets throughout the land, embarking on a western you will laugh at, cry at, and well lose yourself in a growing frontier with no pay walls. Ever see a jalapeno with a revolver yeah i didn't till now!
THE WORK:
El Diablo grows bored, so he took you a boring life and gave you something new. A chance to start over with him. Well are you really gonna let him steal your soul, take your CAT?! While stealing your girl?? No way amigo
THE BOSSES: From giant Bats with sombreros. to floating moustaches that shoot whiskers at you. This rootin tootin shootin ride will probably make you addicted to tacos (Not as much as i squashed during development).
A LOVE LETTER TO LATIN CULTURE:
Not only is my Dad Portuguese but me and him have been deep in the latin culture since we could talk. This is a Love you to la raza, my best friends, my dad and my cat!
THE GANGS:
Rival gangs don't sleep when jaquito isnt around. With growing personalities each gang is holding a knife and powder keg against everyone around them. Maybe you can rid the land, or will you go down as a famous bank robber or stage coach poacher. Choice is yours partner.
SALEM:
One thing followed Jaquito down. A cat, a little green sombrero, not even he knows how he escaped El Diablo. Doesnt matter he's back in your arms (my real life cat). Clawing his way through each foe as long as you feed him cheese every so often. Beware El Gato has mind of his own he may or may not (run away. forget what he is doing, chase and play with his tail, stare at you at 3 am meowing. Not responsible for cuddles or him falling in love with you.
THE DUSTY FRONTIER IS YOURS TO FIND:
Land worth farming. Food worth cooking more than 20 food items atm. Roaming Animals worth hunting and butchering, Cantinas with lively people and bands playing — maybe even the one that used to own him. Gambling the night away after defeating sugar skull bandits, if he's feeling lucky. Holidays including live mariachis, Cities to immerse yourself in. Shops to trade and buy glorious BEANS!
