About the Game

Darkstar Medical Mercenary is a sci-fi 'dating sim' RPG, set along the borders of 'civilized space' in the far flung futuristic ennui of the 2090's.

Take on the role of the doctor aboard the DSSL Good Question, a mercenary vessel and home to a rotating cast of over 20 unique members of the ruthless corporation, Darkstar Security Solutions.

Train your skills, deploy your mercs on missions, and put them back together again, all while indulging their deepest desires to better dominate and shape them into your perfect, obedient soldiers.

Earth may be dead, but its industry survives.

The year is 2095, humanity has had a long and arduous 100 years since the death of Earth. The old ways are gone, the voids that were once occupied with governments are filled with extraterritorial mega-corporations vying for wealth and power. Humans, however, are not alone in this ambition, and find themselves competing in an extraterrestrial market that spans the Milky Way. When these corporations find themselves in conflict, they employ the services of increasingly deadly mercenaries, of which, Darkstar supplies the top of the line.

Everybody wants something. You give it to them.

Between your duties managing the resources of the Good Question, you must keep a tight leash on the members of the Birdcage, an elite corporate section within the universally feared Darkstar Security Solutions. Home to 20 morally questionable, best of the best mercs, belonging to 7 diverse species, including the spliced morphs of the humans of this future. These dangerous individuals respond only to what they desire, and it is as much of your job to keep them alive as it is to keep them under your control. Become close to each of them between operations, seduce them, dominate them, and tell them exactly what they want to hear.

Alien biology. Combat mutagens. Stillware organs.

Raise your stats and produce valuable resources in 5 different mini-games across the holds of the Good Question. Keep your mercenaries healthy in 7 different medical mini-games specific to their species. Choose which mercenaries to send on different missions, utilizing their varied stats and classes, and perform emergency surgery when they come back on death's door. Keep all these plates spinning so corporate stays happy, and fulfill your contracts to gain campaign score and eventual victory. But don't forget to stop and smell the coffee.

Simple, right?

Random events, boarding parties, subspace entities, and more will try to keep your ship from running smoothly. But any situation offers the chance for profit, if you have the skills and the resources to stay in control.
