33 itemsAbout the Game
You wear the crown. In the throne room you decide the fate of those who stand before you, and beyond the gates you decide with your sword. Your court lies to you, your mages are useless, your priests are worse, and the clock is running against you. Welcome to the job.

Pass Judgment
Petitioners stand before your throne, each with their own story and their own agenda. You can take their gold and fill your coffers. You can let them walk and earn goodwill. Or you can lock them away. And whoever sits in your dungeon is not done with you yet: from there you send them on an adventure they might enjoy, or to the labor camp they most certainly will not. No verdict comes free, and the bill rarely arrives right away.

Ride Out Yourself
Other kings send their men. You go. The bastion with its market, dungeon and parade ground is only the beginning. Beyond it lies a kingdom that belongs to you and that you barely know. A misty forest full of abandoned ruins. A bandit camp nobody should tolerate. A pirate ship stranded in the middle of the desert. A smoldering volcano. A farming village that needs you. An oasis where you can fish in peace while predators watch you. And a smith in the sand who knows exactly what his work is worth.

Choose Your Side
The mages are a lazy bunch, good for nothing and still the best company at court. The church is strict, pious and has a long reach. Both want you, and you can only belong to one. What one side teaches you, the other will deny you forever. This single choice decides far more than how you fight.

Earn Your Power
You start with a sword and a shield, nothing more. Everything else you earn through what you do for your realm. The blade is always yours; the rest grows with what you dare. And one day you will stand in the arena, facing something bigger than you.

Run Your Kingdom
Everything comes together on your military grounds: your gold, your troops, your training. Here you hire soldiers who ride into battle at your side, and here your dragons wait. Send them out on adventures and let them fly. What they bring back, you never know in advance.

A Safe Haven at the Heart of the Realm
Deep inside your realm lies Fernlande, a sanctuary shielded by the mages. Here lives everything that holds your kingdom together: the nobility, the church, the mages and the common folk. All in close quarters, all with their own agendas, and all of them talking about you the moment you turn the corner.

Your Time Is Running Out
You will not rule forever. One day your king is an old man, and whatever he has not settled by then, nobody ever will. Father heirs while you can, or everything ends with you. Your gold is limited, your days are numbered, and both drain away while you are out there.

Your Legacy
One day someone else will sit on your throne. Whether it is your heir or nobody, whether they inherit a strong realm or rubble, is decided long before that day comes, under your crown. Others will write the stories about you. What those stories say is up to you.
And When You Have Had Enough of Ruling
Cast a line and see what bites. Try one of the minigames scattered across the realm. Or sit down and shape your king into your own, from face and skin to hair and beard.
