About the Game

You wake up alone on a tiny deserted island - one palm tree, one tomato seed, and a whale in a chef's hat who insists you have potential. Plant the seed. Build a table at the water's edge. And when the first canoe drifts in and a rabbit orders lunch, you're not a castaway anymore - you're a chef.

Cubara is a cozy farming-and-cooking sim about turning that empty beach into a diner worth paddling across an ocean for, one plate at a time.

Farm the beach

Till the sand, plant a seed, keep it watered - tomatoes, cucumbers, wheat, sweet potatoes. Shake coconuts out of the palm, collect the morning's eggs, catch a worm for bait and cast a line off the shore. Everything you'll ever serve is grown, caught, or picked right here.

Cook every dish by hand

Overcooked-style, minus the panic: chop at the cutting board, build the plate on the sand, grill over a driftwood fire. The menu grows from salads to the morning's catch, pizza, and a mushroom soup a mushroom teaches you herself. And when the plates come back dirty, wash them in the sea. It's fine. It's an island.

Serve the canoes at noon

Raise the flag and watch them come: hungry travelers dock alongside your seaside tables and order lunch without stepping ashore - a fox wants salad, an owl wants grilled fish. Read the ticket, cook the order, carry it out while it's hot, and watch the tips pile up on the sand.

Manage your staff

You won't work the lunch rush alone forever. Hire moles, mice, hedgehogs and cats - a waterer for the crops, a fisherman for the shallows, a waiter for the tables, a dishwasher for the shore. Set their routes, upgrade their tools, pay them each night - until the diner hums along without you.

Expand the island

Save enough shells and the whale raises a brand-new stretch of island out of the sea - and there's always a surprise standing on it: a new neighbor, a new shop, a new secret. Every island grows in its own order, so you never know what surfaces next. More land, more crops, more tables - and one day, a critic in a top hat will take notes and decide to award you a Michelin star. Who knows?

Chill - no pressure, really

When the last guest sails home, the evening is yours: surf the break, find a constellation through the telescope, or just fall asleep in the hammock. And whatever happens -

  • No fail state. No combat, no death, no rot, no debt. A wrong dish still pays.

  • Want a day off? Lower the flag and the canoes sail on by. The island is all yours today.

  • Your pace. Nobody on this island is in a hurry - including you.

Play together

Bring a friend along in online co-op: you run the kitchen, they work the tables, and the lunch rush is suddenly half as long and twice as loud.
