About the Game

Cryptica is a narrative-based psychological horror game where the apocalypse is only the beginning. Explore the enigmatic lands of Antarctica and its surrounding areas while the world ends.

Play as Ari Harper, as he desperately attempts to find his missing sister, who has disappeared with a film crew while making a documentary in Antarctica. Uncover unfathomable horrors, discover ancestral secrets, and find your sister and the missing film crew at all costs.

Player Freedom

Players can explore in 1st or 3rd-person modes in massive rustic and surreal environments. Go forth and explore freely. 

Psychological Uncertainty

Unprecedented permafrost melt has given life to a new fungus in your exploration area. This fungus can cause auditory and visual hallucinations. Embrace or reject this mechanic at your leisure. You decide what’s real and what’s imagination.

GAMEPLAY

EXPLORE abandoned mines, desolate whaling outposts, and ancient archeological sites all across Antarctica.

FIND FOOTAGE that will provide helpful insight into what happened to the missing film crew and learn of the horrors that happened here hundreds of years ago.
