About the Game

Croaking Buzz is a 2-player asymmetric co-op platformer, starring a jumping frog and a particular mosquito, that flies free to spawn and manipulate bubbles.

TWO UNIQUE PLAYSTILES TO CHOOSE

CroaKing: An athletic amphibian capable of shooting water projectiles around itself.

Buzz: An ingenious mosquito that can blow bubbles from its multi-purpose proboscis.
Create trampolines, wrap enemies, bounce platforms. Experiment with the myriad of physical interactions you can cause!

COORDINATE IN A CONTROLLED CHAOS!

CroaKing and Buzz can't do anything alone!
Use your complementary skills to tackle platforming challenges with a sandbox approach.

Everything in this world has an opinion about bubbles.
Dragonflies charge in to pop them, electricity turns them conductive, in the dark the glowing ones are your only lanterns, and much more bubbling surprises...

MANAGE YOUR AMMO!

Unfortunately, the mosquito can't create bubbles forever, and it only has one way to reload its ammo to create new ones...
POPPING THEM!
Yell at your froggy mate to shoot those damn bubbles! After all, doesn't he do the same when he needs new ones to jump on?

EASY TO PLAY, HARD TO MASTER

Croaking Buzz is a platformer first, and it behaves like one. Where many co-op games are a buffet of one-off gimmicks, here the gameplay hits differently: the same handful of rules gets pushed deeper level after level, layered and twisted, until you're chaining tricks that looked physically impossible back at the pond.

Tackle scrolling rooms, puzzles, arenas, and a thousand of other challenges except boredom.

DIE, RETRY, RIGHT THERE

Dying is normal in Croaking Buzz — frustration isn't. When you are in a fixed room, fail, and you both restart instantly from the room you're in. Getting it wrong is how you find the right strategy, and the game treats it that way.

A SWAMP, AND WHAT LIES BEYOND

From the dusk ponds of World 1 to a foundry of clashing liquids — water, lava, acid, stone, each with its own physics — to lightless caverns where every glow is a gamble. Enemies aren't obstacles for one of you: every creature is designed around the two of you, and around the bubbles in between.

WHAT'S HAPPENING IN THE SWAMP?

The tadpoles are gone — taken. Croaking and Buzz set out to bring them home, and to find out who's pulling the strings behind the reeds. Someone is orchestrating all of this...

IN SUMMARY:

  • True asymmetric co-op: one platformer seat, one free-flying cursor seat

  • Local co-op on one screen

  • A physics-first bubble system where everything interacts with everything

  • Depth over gimmicks: one core system, pushed further every level

  • Room-based instant respawn — experiment boldly, retry instantly

  • Handcrafted pixel art

  • A swamp mystery: the tadpoles are missing, and someone knows why
