Crit Happens! is a dice-building, turn-based roguelike where you roll your dice to attack! The higher your roll, the more damage you'll deal with your attacks. You can roll your dice at least 3 times, and hold the dice you're happy with. It's up to you to balance risk vs reward.
Acquire powerful tools and relics as you travel through these dangerous lands, changing the way you think about each turn. Tools will particularly change the way you tackle each turn; as they change the behavior of your attacks. Build up a deck of tools, and choose one to play amongst the hand you draw at the start of combat. Use a tool and it'll be sent to the discard pile until it's recycled, so make sure you pick the right moments to make the most of the tools at hand!
Finding new dice faces on your journey and crafting them onto your dice will allow you to apply special effects to your attacks! Upgrading your dice will be essential to conquering the dungeons! With the right dice you'll be able to inflict status effects on enemies, like burn, bleed, paralysis or confusion. Some dice can even apply buffs to yourself, like shield or reflect.

There are a variety of dice faces you'll find on your adventure, each with its own unique effect that can be applied to your attacks. You'll get to fully customize each of your dice each time you find a new face.
Change the way you play by discovering new tools and relics.
Tools can be found throughout your journey to add to your deck; each affecting the way your attacks behave. Draw 5 tools at the start of combat, and draw a new one each time one is used. Relics offer permanent effects, empowering certain dice faces, or simply increasing your health.

The world is ever-changing, with no two runs being the same. Travel through harsh deserts and blistering snowstorms, as you choose your path via your trusty map. Will you prioritize safe havens, or brave the elite enemies in hope of rewards?
