About the Game

Creatures Like Us is a queer narrative life sim about squatting, solidarity, and surviving capitalism together. Follow a group of friends as they make homes in abandoned buildings. They forage for supplies, fix what’s broken, cook together, hold house meetings, and figure out how to live alongside each other with care, conflict, and humour. It’s not easy. But in the cracks of a failing system, something beautiful is growing.

As you navigate daily life, tensions surface - both inside and outside the building - and eventually, the group begins to suspect there’s more behind the evictions and urban decay than coincidence. A landlord conspiracy is unfolding in the city.

Creatures Like Us blends slice-of-life gameplay with branching narrative, queer community, and slow-burning political intrigue.

Features:

  • Live the rhythms of squatter life: forage, repair, find and share food

  • Balance the needs of the community against the needs of the individual

  • Navigate a living world shaped by systemic pressures

  • Uncover a landlord conspiracy
