About the Game

Crane's Dream is a deep psychological drama and a severe test of your reflexes. Soldier Georgy returns from the frontlines, but the war isn't over for him—it has moved into his mind. This period of bloody conflict, where the Russian Empire clashed with mysterious Japan, has forever changed the hero. Now he must find the line between reality and madness before his inner demons consume him completely.

Two Worlds, Two Genres

The gameplay is divided into two interconnected phases. By day, the game is an atmospheric side-scroller with point-and-click elements. Explore the streets, talk to characters, rebuild lost connections, and make meaningful choices. By night, you plunge into a twisted battlefield—a dynamic isometric action game where fears take physical form.

Across Time and Continents

Georgy's story is not just a brief episode, but an epic journey set against global historical upheavals. The game is divided into chapters spanning nearly twenty years. You will start in the restless St. Petersburg of 1905, witness the devastating events of 1917, and try to find peace in Shanghai in 1924 among the Russian émigré circles. With each new era, the locations, the society around you, and the hero's nightmares evolve.

Tactical Isometric Combat

Every dream is a test of endurance. Use your trusty revolver, count the bullets in your cylinder, and dodge out of the line of fire using dashes. Alternate between shooting and brutal melee attacks to survive, because death will throw you back to your last save, forcing you to rethink your approach to the battle.

Mythological Enemies and Bosses

You will face terrifying creatures from Japanese and Slavic mythology. Enemies can patrol the area, hunt down the hero, and even reincarnate right in the middle of combat. At the end of the nightmares, epic boss fights await you, requiring you to study their unique patterns and adapt your tactics.

On the Edge of Reality and Madness

Dreams increasingly bleed into reality, and while awake, Georgy begins to be haunted by Mitka, a Slavic house spirit—an ambiguous companion who pushes you toward strange actions. It is your actions and dialogue choices that determine the ending: will the hero find healing and a new life in a foreign land, or will he sink entirely into the abyss of madness?
