CrackSword

A lo-fi fantasy slasher hand-drawn in colored pencil. Sketchy swords, weird physics, surreal magic cards, and ragdoll puppets with a serious grudge against their master.

About the Game

CrackSword is a 2D sword-fighting roguelite set in a fantasy world that's trying its best to be normal and failing completely. A one-person learning project that got out of hand. Currently in active development — solo roguelite story mode in progress, combat system in active playtesting.

SOLO ROGUE-LITE ADVENTURE

Start broke, leave legendary or don't. Meet the village folk, hunt for swords and magic cards, fight in the arena for gold and glory. And somewhere above it all, a master pulling strings that are starting to feel less like guidance and more like control.

DIRECTIONAL SWORD FIGHTING

A four-way attack system, three sword directions, one kick. Chain feints, bait parries, and make every duel feel like a conversation no one wants to be having.

CRAZY MAGICAL PLAYING CARDS

Build your hand from a deck of sword techniques and magic spells. Find the combinations that feel almost unfair, then manage your power points to actually pull them off.

CLASSIC VERSUS MODE

Pick your puppet. Choose your sword and magic cards. Duel friends in local multiplayer or test your build against AI opponents. Customize the rules until they feel fair. They won't.
