About the Game

Every change remains

CoreVore is a single-player, first-person voxel mining sandbox set across a persistent, ever-expanding Atlas of mutable planets.
Carve your own tunnels, scan the rock for hidden deposits, extract valuable materials, and deploy autonomous machinery underground. Every intervention changes the planet—and the planet remembers what you did.
Removing rock affects structural stability. New passages can expose collapsing ceilings, flowing water and lava, loose or sinking ground, extreme temperatures, darkness, regrowing tunnels, and volatile materials capable of triggering destructive chain reactions.
The environment is not a backdrop. It is the system you must learn to read, reshape, and survive.

Choose a planet and make your own route

Use the Atlas to select a reachable world, examine its resources and threats, and prepare the equipment you expect to need.
Every new planet is generated from its own geological profile and seed. Once visited, it becomes a persistent place with a physical history.
Return later and find your tunnels, damaged terrain, liquids, machinery, and discoveries where you left them. Reopen an old mining site, continue a route you abandoned, or deal with the consequences of an earlier mistake.
But some consequences are irreversible. If a planet collapses completely, that Atlas node is lost.

Decide when it is time to leave

Resources become part of your career only after a successful evacuation.
Deploy your portable Escape Pod wherever you choose, clear its launch zone, and begin the departure sequence. While the pod prepares for launch, you can secure what you already have—or keep mining under growing pressure.
If your suit fails or the planetary collapse completes, everything collected during the current expedition is lost. Your permanent equipment, storage, contracts, and career progression remain.
You can also leave without evacuating the cargo. You lose the current haul, but preserve the altered planet so you can return later.
The question is not how much ore you can find. It is how much you can bring home.

Solve each planet with the right tools

There is no universal solution for every world.
Use different Multi-Tool modes to extract ore, remove large volumes of rock, breach resistant materials, and heat or cool the environment. Scan underground structures and deposits before choosing where to dig.
Deploy specialized machinery:
  • Drill Rig extracts resources and sends them to your shared cargo.
  • Stabilizer protects an area from cave-ins.
  • Drainer removes nearby liquids.
  • Hardener secures loose and sinking ground.
  • Light Beacon illuminates light-starved depths.
  • Escape Pod lets you choose where the expedition ends.
A machine placed in the right location can make a dangerous route profitable. Poor preparation can bury the equipment together with the tunnel around it.

Build a lasting mining career

Successfully evacuated materials enter your permanent storage. Between flights, decide how to use them:
  • sell resources for credits;
  • deliver materials to local and long-term contracts;
  • purchase equipment through the Market;
  • create tools and modules in the Fabricator;
  • save rare materials for future opportunities;
  • repay your growing ship debt.
Progression is not limited to larger numbers. New tool modes, modules, and machines give you new ways to interact with the world and reach materials that were previously inaccessible.
Interest is added to your debt after ordinary flights, including failed ones. Repaying it is a major career milestone—but it does not end the game. The Atlas remains open for further exploration.
