About the Game

It's alive - you shout in ecstasy as an angry mob is gathering right at your door.
Luckily it's not a Frankenstein scene, but the grand opening of your new cinema!
It gets even better, as instead of torches and pitchforks, in the hands of the crowd, you see lots of cash ready to be spent.
That money will make this place shine even brighter!
Purchase more comfortable seats, bigger screens, or even knock down a wall or two and arrange a new cinema hall.
The only limit is your imagination! (well, and the budget, obviously...)

So while we're already into the financial side, it may sound rough, but you gotta pay to keep the business rolling.
Rental cost, licenses, cleaning, hardware maintenance, and of course the crew.
Either make sure to use your budget smartly or start packing your bags!
Expensive prices will keep customers away, but reducing them too much won't generate profit, and without profit, there's no growth.
Maybe it's time to get another popcorn machine?

Fire during the show, or maybe a fight between 2 angry Karens about whose baby is the sweetest?
Those situations can surely scare off your customers, and that's the last thing you can afford.
Only quick reactions will let you avoid a catastrophe.
It might be a good idea to invest in security, smoke detectors, or a backup projector,
which will keep you safe in case of random malfunction or planned sabotage from your competitors across the street.

You're done with all the issues? Splendid!
Now you can finally plan on how your cinemas are going to take over the city.
Your last obstacle is the competition which constantly comes back, no matter how hard you hit it.
If the peaceful way doesn't work out, it's time to take an unorthodox approach!
Breaking the air-conditioning on a hot day, cutting off the power during a big premiere,
or putting a skunk in one of the cinema rooms seems like a clear indication that the city is yours!
Watch out though! You're not the only one trying to pull that off.

Starting out with just one cinema, you managed to create a chain of the most popular movie theatres - from pauper to a king!
Buy new buildings, arrange even more screening rooms, and make the hottest premieres exclusive only in your cinemas.
On the other hand, never forget that someone else was the king before you,
and at this moment, someone opens up their first movie theatre... sounds familiar?
