About the Game

Chronicle of Innsmouth: Mountains of Madness is a Lovecraftian point’n’click graphic adventure inspired by the early 90s LucasArts classics. Drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft’s most iconic stories, such as The Shadow Over Innsmouth and The Mountains of Madness, this detective story pulls you into a thrilling investigation across fateful places like Arkham and the South Pole.

A STORY OF MADNESS AND TERRIFYING AWAKENINGS

Private Investigator Lone Carter regains consciousness to find himself lying on a beach near Innsmouth. His body has been ripped apart, and as he fades away into death, he remembers in dreadful glimpses his fatal encounter with a Shoggoth. Awakened by a fire burning within, Carter returns completely recovered but forever changed. Haunted by visions of ineffable truths, he must escape Innsmouth and return to Arkham, where a mystery involving ritual murders and a plot intertwining different eras awaits.

THREE PROTAGONISTS, ONE SHARED FATE

You will not only play as Lone Carter. To unveil the mysteries of the bloodline, you will step into the shoes of three distinct characters:

  • Lone Carter: The private investigator at the heart of the mystery.

  • Abdul Alhazred: The Mad Arab and author of the dreaded Necronomicon.

  • H.P. Lovecraft: The Master himself, guided through the secrets of his own lineage.

KEY FEATURES:

  • A Saga Prequel: A new entry in the Chronicle of Innsmouth franchise, set 10 years before the events of the first chapter.

  • Authentic Retro Style: Retro art style rendered in 640x360 resolution, a true homage to the early 90s LucasArts legends.

  • Logical Challenges: Test your wits and deduction skills with clever, logical, yet challenging puzzles.

  • Expanded Lovecraftian Universe: Interact with many characters, both original and taken directly from H.P. Lovecraft’s specific stories.

  • Immersive Atmosphere: A mature, horrifying story accompanied by a brilliant and unsettling original soundtrack.

Prepare yourself for an adventure that will test your wits and drag you to the very limits of your sanity… and perhaps beyond.
