About the Game

For nearly 35 years Chip's Challenge set the standard for brain-boggling puzzles. Originally released in 1989 for the Atari Lynx handheld console by legendary developers Epyx, this top-down puzzler was then ported to a wide range of platforms. Now, relive those days in these remastered emulated versions.

This compilation allows you to play the versions of Chip's Challenge originally made for:
  • Atari Lynx (the original version)
  • Commodore 64
  • Commodore Amiga
  • ZX Spectrum
PLUS the newly-released ports by Retro Room Games for:
  • Sega Mega Drive/Genesis
  • Super NES

Story

Schoolboy Chip desperately wants to join the exclusive Bit Busters Computer Club, but to prove his worthiness he must complete a series of brain-twisting challenges set by the club's owner Melinda the Mental Marvel.

Gameplay

Solve over 140 challenging grid-based puzzles, finding and using tools and devices such as keys, switches, pushable blocks and more, all while avoiding enemy creatures, and collecting computer chips to exit the level, all against the clock!


This enhanced version introduces a number of modern features to this retro classic, including:
