About the Game

Space creatures called Chibits return in this fast-paced game that combines a "gritty" card style with multiple stories from a dying galaxy.

WHAT ARE CHIBITS?

The perfect robotic plague: machines that seamlessly attach to any material, exploit the best energy sources in their environment, and even modify the DNA of their host creatures. Long ago, they were created to make life easier for countless civilizations across the universe—starting with buildings and vehicles, eventually reaching food and dreams.

GAMEPLAY

Begin by choosing a Chibit archetype or family:

  • Trash: Based on scrap and inert parts, with a docile temperament.

  • Energy: Sources of power, or pure forms of it; usually aggressive.

  • Parasite: Symbiotic lifespans and a curious nature.

Your cards represent the Chibits you carry on your ship. You must advance through randomized planets until you reach the Master Chibit ruling the sector. The key to the game is planning your route to reach the end with a strong lineup capable of defeating the boss.

Traverse and fight through the different sectors of the universe infected by Chibits, finding allies and uncovering their stories, until you reach The King's Tomb to try and put an end to these creatures' curse.

Naturally, you will encounter resistance from wild Chibits. This triggers fast-paced battles where you simply drag your cards toward the enemy side, though with deep tactical nuances:

  • Affinity: Temporary strength when fighting on a planet akin to their family.

  • Technologies: Different passive effects in every run.

  • Tokens: Swords, shields, bombs, etc., that grant special effects against certain families.

  • The Chibipedia: A permanent level tracker for your monsters across all your runs.

  • You can surrender peacefully, giving up fuel to preserve your Chibits' health.

Carrying more Chibits makes battles easier, but a heavier ship consumes more fuel. Sometimes you will have to recycle some of your soldiers just to avoid getting stranded in the void: balance is key!

Remember the two conditions to ensure your mission's success:

  • Don't run out of fuel! Defeating strong Chibits grants more supplies and is always more profitable than recycling allies, especially on planets aligned with your team formation.

  • Reach the end, but with a strong team. To avoid unnecessary combat, you can offer fuel to wild Chibits as a peace offering, keeping your roster in top shape.

ALSO...

You will encounter technologies that modify the rules of both travel and combat. Together, this ensures that every player develops Chibits with unique levels, facing situations with vastly different choices.

Finally, between runs you can check the Collection, which features the Chibipedia with all available Chibits (+40) and their recorded levels, as well as a section dedicated to the lore you will discover about these mysterious creatures.
