About the Game

Chess Pieces. Match-3 Rules. One Brilliant Game.

ChessMatch combines chess movement rules with match-3 puzzle gameplay. Swap pieces using the moves they make on a real chessboard — rooks slide across rows, bishops cut diagonals, knights leap in L-shapes — and line up three or more of the same type to clear them.

Match 4 or more to create special black pieces. Combine two specials for spectacular chain reactions across the board.

150 Handcrafted Levels

Not every level plays the same. Across 150 stages you'll encounter:

  • Score Challenges — Reach the target score before you run out of moves.

  • Hunts — Match specific piece types to complete the mission.

  • Checkmate — Guide the Golden King to the bottom of the board.

  • Siege — Destroy castle walls.

  • Thaw — Free ice-locked pieces by matching next to them.

  • Obscured Pieces — Hidden enemies that block your vision and cannot be swapped.

  • Power Tiles — Glowing board squares that supercharge any piece matched on them.

  • Stone Pieces — Hardened pieces encased in stone.

Boards range from compact 4x4 grids to massive 12x12 battlefields. Watch out for gaps in the board!

Combos

When pieces clear and new ones fall, chain reactions happen. Trigger cascading matches for bonus points and extra moves. Use advanced tactics like Discovered Attacks, long-range Snipes, promoted Pawn plays, and Knight Forks to earn even more.

  • Campaign — 100 levels of escalating challenge. Earn up to 3 stars on each.

  • Blitz — Race the clock in 1-minute, 3-minute, or 5-minute sprints. Score as high as you can before time runs out.

  • Unlimited — No move limit. No timer. Just an infinite board and a high score to chase.

  • Tutorial — Learn every mechanic with guided lessons at your own pace.
