About the Game

Catriarch is a narrative-driven card game about ruling as a cat king in the modern human world.

Each turn, you are presented with an event card and two possible choices. Your decisions affect four core resources that must be kept in balance. Mismanaging them will eventually lead to your death and the end of your reign.

Each reign is a self-contained run with its own outcomes, story paths, and possible endings.

After a king dies, a new one takes the throne, unlocking new events, titles, and variations across multiple playthroughs.

  • Meet a cast of memorable characters — from courtly cats and foreign envoys to living nightmares and Death itself.

  • Unlock royal titles through your choices across branching narrative chains.

  • Dismiss nobles with a single royal paw swipe. Power is quick, and so are its consequences.

  • Discover unique death endings, both mechanical and narrative, shaped by how your reign collapses.

  • Earn achievements and set records for the length of your rule.

  • Is your catriarch dead? Crown a new one. The king is dead — long live the king.
