171 A.D., a great evil lurks in the shadows of ancient Rome, one that corrupts the souls of man and gives shape to the will of demons. As an initiate into the Realm of Sacred Mysteries, you have learned your mentor has been taken along with other members of your faithful brethren. The challenge for you is to confront the horrors of the labyrinthine catacombs that are located beneath the city where they have been imprisoned as victims of a sinister conspiracy.

Corruption, possession, and evil await you, however, divinity will bestow upon you a blessed arsenal that will bring your numerous opponents to their knees.
