About the Game

Case 42: The Redwood Files is a Narrative Horror Adventure game where you play a Rookie Detective, Anirban Ghosh, who comes to a quite Hilly Town to unravel the mystery of a seemingly simple murder case that unfolds itself into something much bigger and scarier.

It is inspired by the melancholic moods of Twin Peaks & the atmospheric feel of Silent hill.

“A demo is in the works and will be available in the near future. Wishlist the game to be notified when it's live!”

The Redwood Files is a game that takes place in a quite secluded small town on the Hills of North East India, that is partly welcoming to the detective, partly unwelcoming. This game involves the player making deductions about crime scenes, the loop is to investigate places, talk to folks, get leads, solve puzzles in both worlds, progress, get further leads, connect dots, manage time. You traverse through two realms, one being the normal world where Detective does scene and item investigation, talk to folks and get leads on cases while in other world the Detective faces the real horror of the game, where, while encountering inhumane hostile entities, you further learn about something relevant to the case.
