About the Game

Welcome to the world of BUBBLE BOI! Step right in.

BUBBLE BOI is a platform puzzle game. The protagonist cannot move directly, but can travel via the special bubble mechanics. Observe the terrain and figure out all puzzle solutions with bubbles!

Notes:

  • Bubble usage is limited. If you love challenges, try to complete the whole game with only 3 bubble uses!

  • Please check the rules below for bubble mechanics.

1. Beginner's Guide

Basic Controls

① WASD keys do not move the character directly, but change its facing direction.

② Left mouse button: Blow bubbles towards the facing direction.

③ Right mouse button: Teleport the character to the position of the blown bubble.

④ Teleportation follows the order the bubbles are created.

Note: Master the rhythm of the controls, and you will gain highly flexible movement. Feel free to explore!

Bubble Usage Limit

① The number in the center of the screen shows your remaining bubbles (starts at 3).

② When you run out of bubbles, the character dies and respawns at the save point. Use bubbles wisely!

Note: BUBBLE BOI has two endings corresponding to two modes. Challenge Mode (max 3 bubbles, do not collect any potions) and Explore Mode (max 5 bubbles, collect all potions on the map).

Special Bubble Mechanics

① Stacking bubbles allows precise teleportation into narrow passages.

Note: All tutorials above will be included in the official full version.

2. Story Background

BUBBLE BOI is a magician.

In this black-and-white pantomime world, BOI is skilled at performing elusive teleportation magic with tiny bubbles from the brim of his hat. But after stepping onto the stage, he finds his bow tie missing. "Appearance matters most for a magician!" So BOI sets off on a journey to retrieve his bow tie.

Note: This is actually a well-orchestrated magic show. Watch how BOI uses his teleportation magic to find the lost bow tie step by step.
