About the Game

Broken Cycle is a dark-fantasy auto-battler RPG that lets you build a team of up to 5 mercenaries and send them to clear dungeons automatically while you engineer their battle tactics and loot, craft, and enchant their gear.

The Stagnation

An ancient blight is devouring the world, the Stagnation. Born from powerful corrupted souls, it freezes the land in a thick, suffocating torpor where even time seems to stop, draining the life out of every living thing until body and mind wither away. Most who fall to it become Stagnants, wandering with no purpose left. The cycle of life has broken, and the few mercenaries you command are among the last who can still fight the stillness.

From a world map, you pick where to go next, then fight through waves of enemies and elites until a corrupted boss stands between you and the next Region. You won't do this alone. Others who want the old world back will help you along the way, and the more you talk with them, the more of the world's broken history you discover. Reach the end, defeat whatever waits there, and the cycle finally turns again.

Build Your Team

You pick your heroes from 3 core Classes, each one splitting into 3 Specializations, and take up to 5 of them into any fight. Every spec has its own talent tree and plays differently, from a poison-detonating Assassin to a drone-commanding Engineer, a spirit-possessing Shaman, or a shield-wall Knight. Heroes earn a talent point every few levels and can mix talents across specs for deep, complex builds.

Teams of up to 5 Heroes to assemble and command.

3 Classes & 9 Specializations. Sorcerer (Cleric / Arcanist / Shaman), Warrior (Knight / Templar / Berserker), and Thief (Assassin / Ranger / Engineer).

9 Talent Trees & 100+ Talents. Mix them freely across specs.

45+ Abilities, each reshaped by your talents and gear, and each with its own visual effect.

35+ Character Stats.

Engineer Their Tactics

You don't click abilities mid-fight. You set them up beforehand. For each hero you write a full priority list that runs as their combat AI, with conditions like "heal an ally below half health," "finish off low-health enemies," or "go for the highest-threat target," chosen from more than 25 targeting modes. Line your heroes up across the Front, Middle, and Back rows and let the aggro system sort out who gets hit. Set the tactics, then watch your design play out.

Loot, Craft & Upgrade

Every fight can drop procedurally generated gear, and with an endless mix of possible effects, no two pieces ever come out the same. Buy gear and hire new heroes at the Shop, and add enchantments to your equipment at the Enchanter. The Forge builds new gear or reworks what you already own. Transmutation turns items into something new, and Recycling breaks down loot you don't need into resources.

Infinite Procedural Effects. No two drops are alike.

5 Rarity Tiers from Common to Legendary.

12 Equipment Slots to fill and experiment with.
