Broken Blade: Prelude(프렐류드)는 판타지풍의 시뮬레이션 롤플레잉 게임입니다. 당신은 세계의 운명을 지켜보는 '관찰자'가 되어, 제국의 황녀였던 카모밀레와 그 동료들의 앞을 막아서는 시련을 헤쳐나가기 위해 함께 노력해야 합니다.

인간과 마물이 공존하고 있는 '미드젤'.

대륙의 서쪽으로는, 세계수가 자리잡고 있는 인간들을 위한 나라 '크바지르 제국'. 그 반대편에는 여러 종족의 마물이 연합해, 크바지르에 대항하기 위해 세워진 '에이레 왕국'이 존속해 왔다.

하지만, 크바지르 제국의 황제이자 인간과 마물 사이의 불신을 해결하고자 한 황제, '시그몬드'가 시해당한 뒤, 미드젤과 한 소녀의 운명은 크게 뒤바뀌게 된다.
