About the Game

The world can be a scary place, ruled by powerful but uncaring kings, and populated by over-ambitious businessmen, dutiful knights, and many other strange beings beyond any comprehension. There is a bitter class struggle between Spidz and Bears, a conflict manipulated by well-connected individuals from both sides with obscure interests. And between them all, a little teddy bear is out there searching for his place, for a meaning to his life – and as scary as his search is, nothing will stop him, for he is Brave Eduardo!

Brave Eduardo is a 2D open-world RPG, set in a creepy Victorian world where the poor shiver under the cold, miserable rain, while the rich feast in their golden halls. Under a veneer of normality, a strange world lurks – the shadows are full of horrors and mechanical monsters; but a brave little toy can make a difference with his bravery, wits, and skills.

Explore a vast hand-drawn world, full of bustling towns and quirky magical biomes – a world for you to live in, cooking, trading, and gathering resources. Fight epic battles with a thrilling, smooth combat system. Venture into procedurally generated dungeons and face over 50 bosses, each with unique mechanics and characteristics – including some steam-powered mechanical colossus! Meet new friends in your adventures and stand up to those who will want to put an end to your journey – just bear in mind that not everybody is as they seem!

Brave Eduardo was inspired by a popular Internet legend: how teddy bears protect their children in their sleep, fencing off monsters and all kinds of evil forces that seek to destroy their innocence – even after falling forgotten under their owners’ bed. Inspired by this memory from their own childhoods, indie studio DotDream created the character of Eduardo – a little teddy bear that, despite looking defenseless, is brave enough to stand against overwhelming odds to defend what he believes in.
