About the Game

Beneath the Cardboard: Be Happy is a full-fledged remake of Beneath the Cardboard, a game created by Teodor Chirvasiu (PrivateTed), released over 10 years ago. The game has been rebuilt from the ground up and elevated to a standalone title, without losing the spirit of the original. If you're a longtime fan like us, you'll see the myths of the past come to life before your eyes. If you're a brand new player, you might be drawn to the storyline of a lonely child nicknamed Everlost, beginning on a clear midnight in a town seemingly full of indifferent snowmen!

Try to find happiness in the flood of melancholy.

Immerse yourself in an atmosphere of hopelessness, a harsh survival instead of a normal life. The wind grows colder, the night grows darker. The passersby don't getting more kind, and the only one who can help you is yourself.

A new melancholic and somber ambient soundtrack by kimarsen. will help you immerse yourself in the game's world.

Scavenge for leftover food in trash cans, burn boxes to keep warm, and be more alert at night.

The Child and the Big City

The city, compared to the original game, has become noticeably larger, and its content is sure to pique your curiosity.

Forgotten Dreams Take Form

What had become a myth in the community has taken shape in the remake, along with completely new ideas. Meet distinctive characters, utilize new abilities, and survive dangerous nights with friends (or strangers) in co-op mode.

Surviving frostbite is better together.

We've added a Co-op Mode to the game, which is currently in an unstable state. Despite this, you can still have your share of fun, for example, chasing your friend with a burning box.

Be careful at night.

The darkness can conceal threats more terrible than Frost itself. Be careful and tread carefully.
