Beep Below is a cozy narrative and simulation experience set in the landscapes of Cantabria, in northern Spain. Accompany Olalla, a Madrid-based accountant who is forced to return to her family home following the sudden and mysterious disappearance of her father, Nelu. Through the objects you unearth, you will help Olalla piece together two parallel stories: that of her family's past, and that of the strained relationship between her and her father.
A relaxing and comforting gameplay loop:
Explore different natural environments at your own pace, such as green meadows, beaches, or forests. No rushing, no energy bars, and no enemies that can kill you.
Accessible searching mechanics:
Turn on your detector, follow the rhythm of the beeps to locate objects, and grab your shovel to dig them up. You will have audio, visual, and vibration cues at your disposal to aid you in your search.
Progression and equipment upgrades:
Collect treasures with historical value and sell scrap metal or common items to earn money. Use the funds to upgrade and customize your searching tools.
Replayability:
Every corner of Cantabria hides a hidden story waiting to be uncovered by finding all the lost objects on the map. You can explore the environments as many times as you like, as treasures and items will be in different locations each time.
